This is something I read the other day, and I have to say, over the years I really didn’t give it much thought and I’ll bet you haven’t really hadn’t given it much thought either. What am I talking about? Drying your laundry in the rooms where you spend time. I’m not talking about installing an electric or gas dryer in your living room, I’m talking about setting up a makeshift clothesline. We’ve all done this, especially when we want to dry something that we don’t want shrunk. Many times I would find myself hanging wet clothes on anything that was free, including once or twice, a ceiling fan.

Turns out someone who was drying the clothes and not heeding the warnings, ended up with some pretty serious lung problem because of the mold spores that set up shop on his radiator where he was drying the clothes. Yikes, right?

His doctor informed that he problems could even become worse, so he finally wised up and stopped drying the clothes indoors. He eventually got better, he was lucky. Some can go years without realizing what the issue could be.

Remember this…a load of laundry contains almost 2 liters of water. That water is released into the room through evaporation. Most of us are immune to these infections, however, if you have someone in the house who happens to be asthmatic, like yours truly, they may experience some increased difficulty in breathing. Who’d have thought? This is a process that I will stop immediately. Leave the drying to mother nature, or Mr. Maytag for this guy.
