Former Syracuse University Football Player Signs With Patriots

Former Syracuse University football defensive safety and San Diego Charger Steve Gregory is once again returning to the East Coast. Gregory just signed a 3 year contract with the New England Patriots after meeting with the team last week.

WIBX is reporting that the new deal could average between $2-3 million dollars per season. Not too bad right? I wish I could make that!

Gregory was signed as a rookie free agent for the San Diego Chargers in 2006 after graduating from SU. He has appeared in 85 games during his career with the Chargers, and last season intercepted a pass by Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and returned the pass for a 26-yard touchdown.”
