Rochester struck nine minutes into the game Wednesday night The Comets tied the game seven minutes later.

Cole Cassels gave the Comets a 2-1- lead three minutes into the second period.

CJ Smith tied the game at 2 at the 7:11 mark of the third period. Overtime did not yield a winner for the second straight game and it would take a shootout to determine a winner.

Kevin Porter and Reid Boucher traded goals n the first three rounds of the shootout, it was Nikolay Goldobin getting the game-winning goal in the fourth round to earn the win.

The Comets continue the quest for another win and take on the Hartford Wolf Pack. The puck drops at 7:15 at the XL Center.
