The Utica Comets got slapped twice Wednesday night at the Adirondack Bank Center. First by losing 6-4 to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, second, the loss snaps the Comets 16-game point streak.

Just four and a half minutes into the game the Phantoms Phil Varone scored and went up 1-0.  The Comets Dziurzynski tied the game at 1 apiece with 7:38 remaining in the first period.

Varone scored again in the second period with 8:36 to go and gave the Phantoms a 2-1 lead. Carcone tied the game at 2 just over a minute later. Then 5 minutes later Carcone scored again giving the Comets their first lead of the night and close out the 2nd period.

Carey tied the game at just three and a half into the third period. Brennan gave the Phantoms a 4-3 lead with a power-play goal just five quick minutes later in the third period. Varone scored the hat trick goal with 5:06 left to go in the game. Cole Bardreau scored an empty-net goal with 44 seconds left to go to seal the win for the Phantoms.

The Comets are in action Friday evening as they take on the Laval Rocket, the puck drops at 7 pm
