If you are from Clinton, or would like to know more about the history of Clinton, you should visit the Clinton Historical Society. I find local history fascinating, especially the history of the Village of Clinton and the Town of Kirkland. I recently visited the Oneida County Historical Society. So, I decided to stop by the Clinton Historical Society, too. It's definitely worth a visit.

It's been a long time since I have visited the Oneida County Historical Society. I'm talking a long time. So, I decided to stop in recently when I saw the "Museum Open" sign on the front steps of the historical society.

Featured in my blog, "6 Free Things to Do in Clinton," the Wellin Museum of Art at Hamilton College is a great place to visit. And now there's even more incentive to go. There are two new photography exhibits at the museum-- "Refocusing the Lens: Pranlal K Patel's Photographs of Women at Work in Ahmedabad" and "In Context: The Portrait of Contemporary Photographic Practice

There's a new free exhibit at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute. It's called "Sam Van Aken: A Hole in the Sky." The exhibit features many 10-foot weather balloons stacked on top of each other in the middle of the MWPAI Edward W. Root Sculpture Court. It is definitely an interesting thing to see.
