The worst trend in movie trailers is still a problem and here are 20 more examples.

It’s been a wild and bumpy — so, so bumpy — ride for the DCEU thus far. The studio’s most beloved characters are played by women, while their best (and, many would argue, only good) movie to date is Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman solo film. That may very well change in the coming years with new heroes and villains (and new films), but the studio’s plans are somewhat scattered and convoluted — which is why they’ve enlisted a new DC Films president to help right the ship.

Even as Arrow once again revoked access to Deathstroke, fans kept hope that recent references to Batman and Wonder Woman might signal greater leniency with the major DCEU characters. Not so, apparently, as Arrow boss Marc Guggenheim once again shoots down the notion that Justice League-rs Batman or Wonder Woman might make their CW debuts.

In a lot of ways, this year really stunk. But there’s one way in which 2017 was the best year ever: Superheroes.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice smashed box office records over the weekend, and while we wait for the dust to settle to see just how successful it will become, Zack Snyder has been opening up about a few key moments in the film. The divisive superhero epic offered a few cameos and surprises (and one very surprising cameo), including an ending that left some audience members shocked. It’s that particular plot development that Snyder addresses in his latest interview, which sheds some light on his future Justice League plans. Spoilers ahead!

When Warner Bros. announced their upcoming superhero schedule last year, one title notably missing was a solo Batman movie. Sure, Batman was going to be a big part of both Batman vs. Superman and the two Justice League movies, but would Batfleck be getting his own trilogy, a la The Dark Knight? It seems that the folks over at Warner Bros. are quite pleased with Zack Snyder's work because the studio has just officially signed the 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman vs. Superman' director to direct the upcoming 'Justice League' film, as well. That's going to keep him -- and presumably Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck -- pretty busy for a while.
