A native of New Hartford is nominated for a Grammy this year, and the radio stations in his hometown are starting a Twitter campaign to lobby the music industry to honor him.

If only we could get these two together for a CNY show...(sigh!).  Joe Walsh was guitar shopping when he ran into Utica area native Joe Bonamassa, whose family still owns Bonamassa Guitars.

As far as tribute albums go, the upcoming Deep Purple ‘Re-Machined: A Tribute to Machine Head‘ should be a pretty solid effort. Sporting acts like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Chickenfoot and Carlos Santana, it looks as though no effort was wasted in getting some top performers.
