We’re big fans of Groundhog Day here at ScreenCrush — I mean, we did just pick it as number one on our list of the 25 Best Comedies of the Last 25 Years — so this news, via The Hollywood Reporter, has us excited: Groundhog Day is coming to Broadway on January 23, 2017. A new version of Groundhog Day! It feels like we’re living the same story over and over and over again! But with, like, music this time.

It only took less than a minute for the world's most reliable meteorologist to give his prediction of 6 more weeks of Winter. He didn't even have to look at the calendar, all he had to do was look at his shadow.

Did you know that the most famous weatherman in the world isn't a actually a human being? It has to be Punxsutawney Phil. Each year on Groundhogs Day the world looks to Phil to see if winter will continue. He isn't the only one you should be mad about.

Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his hole and saw his shadow this morning forecasting 6 more weeks of winter. I'm not really sure what that means for Central New York considering how mild this winter has been. Here it is February and I have only had my driveway plowed 3 times...

The folks at Wildlife Prairie State Park in Illinois are looking to give Punxsutawney Phil some competition. They’re bringing in former NBC weatherman Willard Scott for a Groundhog Day celebration.
