Syracuse Native ‘Megyn Kelly’ Makes Today Show Lineup

Megyn Kelly, born in Syracuse with degrees from Syracuse University and Albany Law School is taking on the 9-10 am slot on the Today Show. 

Kelly is known for her hard-hitting questions on Fox during the presidential debates with Donald Trump among many other interviews. She announced she was leaving Fox this past January and is now set to premiere on NBC in June. Kelly's first interview will be a little different that what we're used to with her sitting down with the Kardashians.

The 9 am - 10 am time slot has been a battle for NBC. They've tried Al Roker, Tamera Hall, Billy Bush, Jenna Bush Hager and more without much of a rating success. The strong, smart, witty personality of Kelly might be just what they need to take on 'Live' with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. Variety reminds us that Kelly had a short-lived stint as a co-host with Ripa not long ago.

We hope to see her and her family in the Syracuse area little more often to take in a 'Cuse game at the Carrier Dome.
