Skid Row have offered fans a glimpse of the band's future by showing off what the new lineup can do with one of their signature songs.

As previously reported, longtime Skid Row frontman Johnny Solinger recently quit the band, citing a desire to pursue a solo career, and was quickly replaced by former TNT singer Tony Harnell. As you can hear below, Harnell and the band have already entered the studio to record a new version of the Skid Row hit "18 & Life."

"I’m so excited and honored to be a part of such a great band with an amazing legacy and legions of faithful fans," enthused Harnell in the band's announcement of the switch. "The guys and I have known each other for many years and this is such a natural fit. I look forward to getting out there and playing live together and being a part of making new music and creating our future together. It’s time to rock!"

Solinger's former bandmates have been publicly positive about making the change, although during a recent appearance on One on One With Mitch Lafon, bassist Rachel Bolan hinted at a certain level of dissatisfaction behind the scenes prior to Solinger's departure. "At certain times, you get a feeling that someone isn't putting 100 percent into things, and Skid Row is very important to the rest of us," he explained. "We wanted to carry on with quality performances."

Take a listen to the new "18 & Life" and judge for yourself — we've even included a recent live version with Solinger on vocals, as well as the original studio release with Sebastian Bach behind the mic, for comparison's sake.
