Rome Lead Pickup Is Starting November 2nd 2020

The city of Rome will begin its bulk leaf collection program on Monday, November 2nd 2020. According to the Rome Sentinel, the weekly green waste collection of containerized green waste, leaves and brush piles will continue the day before residents scheduled garbage pickup during the bulk leaf pickup.

Officials warn that because of the volume of containerized green waste during this time, crews may get behind on the pickup. “In the event we get behind leave your containerized green waste at the curb and we will collect it the next day,” the officials said."

The City of Rome will follow this schedule for the bulk leaf collection:

Monday’s Green Waste Route;

Tuesday’s Green Waste Route;

Wednesday’s Green Waste Route; and

Thursday’s Green Waste Route.

It's also noted, that in the event that collection crews are needed for snow plowing during this period, leaf collection will cease and will be resumed where crews left off when weather permits.

If you have any questions, call City Yard at 315-339-7778 between 7:30AM and 4PM Monday through Friday.
