As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.

Unless The Yankees Fix One Key Stat This Season Is In Real Trouble
The New York Yankees are one of the most talented teams in all of baseball. There's an argument to be made that the majority of the roster should be All-Stars and a handful of Yankees have MVP caliber talent BUT they don't look that way at the plate. It's early and there's plenty of baseball left to get things right but when you look at the last five or six years of Yankees teams there's a glaring reason they can't beat good teams in the postseason. The Yankees can not hit with Runners In Scoring Position!

The Buffalo Bills will have the ability to host 6,772 fans this Saturday when they begin their playoff run against the Indianapolis Colts. This would be the first sporting event in New York to allow fans since the COVID-19 pandemic halted the sports world in mid-March of 2020. It's a happy day for the Bills Mafia except for the nearly 18,000 fans that have signed a petition in an attempt to keep the man that made the decision to open the stands up, Governor Andrew Cuomo out of the game.

The on going debate over what businesses should be listed as essential which ones shouldn't continues to evolve. Even though we are seeing some positive momentum in New York State's fight against COVID-19 the "Stay At Home" order will remain in place until at least April 29th. One major clarification was added today to the clarification of the Stay at Home executive order, Golf Courses are specifically listed as not essential.
Wanna See The FCC Complaints From The Super Bowl Halftime Show?
This year's Super Bowl Halftime show featuring Jennifer Lopez and Shakira was provocative to say the least. I for one enjoyed it, especially the Shakira part. Some people felt it was so provocative it deserved a complaint to the FCC.
Which New York NFL Player Has The Best Odds To Win The MVP?
The three New York NFL teams all have young talent but do any of the three teams have a player ready to win the MVP this season? The New York Giants, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills don't have a player getting great odds from Las Vegas but if you're brave enough you might be able to win big money.
