Golfers, looking for fun? The Rome Lions Club is hosting their 15th Annual Rome Lions Club Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 10th at the Rome Country Club.

All the proceeds from this tournament go towards projects including scholarships, providing the local community food pantries and shelters with funds for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and many more projects.

Thanks to the generous support in 2015 – 2016 the Rome Lions were able to: Purchase a Spot Camera to diagnose early eye disease in children ages six months to six years, provide a Christmas party and summer picnic for children of all ages who are visually and/or hearing impaired, donate over $1,000 to local food banks and missions for Thanksgiving dinners and other necessities, sponsor scholarships for graduating seniors, provide grant money for local non-profit projects, and donate funds to support the purchase of batteries for hearing aids and cochlear devices at the School for the Deaf.

Registration starts at 8:15AM with a Shotgun start at 9:00AM. The price is $80.00 per player, and that includes; 18 holes of golf, cart, beverages on course, lunch, steak dinner, and prizes. The tournament will be played in a Captain and crew format. There will also be contests for longest drive, closest to the pin, skins, beat the pro, and a hole-in-one contest for a 46” flat screen.
