Robinson Cano’s solo homer in the eighth gave the Yankees a 6-5 over the Mets in the rubber match of a three-game set. Here’s a full recap from last nights game.

The Yanks scored five runs off of R.A. Dickey including Nick Swisher’s three-blast in the third inning.  Trailing 5-2 in the sixth, the Mets rallied to tie with three unearned runs – a two-out, two-RBI single from Andres Torres, followed by a Ruben Tejada RBI single – all off of C.C. Sabathia. Sabathia lasted just 5 2/3, surrendering nine hits and five runs, but four were unearned due to three Yankee errors.”

The Yankees now move their record to 43-28 and took five of six in the season series. The Mets fall to 39-34. The Yankees will next play the Indians at 7:00pm tonight.
