Woody Hayes Fired For Punching Player

I can recall this incident like it was yesterday, although it happened 32 years ago. I really enjoy football, high school, college, pro, you name it, I watch it! This is the first time in my life I asked myself, "Did I just see that?" "Did the coach really punch that player?" "No." The incident happened on December 29th, 1978. The next day, Ohio State fired the coach. Today, the coach would have received a raise for showing his passion for the game.
