Ready, set, go! A Winter Storm Watch for Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon has been issued in Oneida, Onondaga, and Madison counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon in Oneida, Onondaga, and Madison counties. The watch is also in place through Tuesday night for Herkimer County.

We're expecting snow tonight and Tuesday, followed by possible heavy lake effect snow Tuesday night and Wednesday. Total snow accumulations of more than 7 inches are possible.

The storm could bring six to twelve inches of accumulation across the Mohawk Valley with reduced visibility and whiteout conditions possible, according to the NWS. A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow that may impact travel.
