Winter Mood Lifters
If you’re like me you get depressed in the winter months. This winter has been a tough season to get through with record snowfall and freezing temps. When it’s cold and gray it can be hard to get out of bed and once we get into work, the motivation to get anything done can be almost impossible.
Yahoo Shine offers some suggestions on how to beat the winter blues:
- Have some fun at work- Laughter is actually a really good medicine as it brightens your mood and may help you think more creatively.
- Try yoga- According to new studies, yoga has a greater positive effect on mood and anxiety level than walking and other forms of exercise.
- Clean up your eating- Eating foods high in sugar, salt and fat might feel good at the moment, but will ultimately leave you feeling lethargic and a little down in the dumps.
