Wine-Kno For The Holidays

October marks the beginning of the cooking season, dinner and holiday parties. Like any good guest, you want to bring an appropriate bottle of wine as a thank you.

Selecting the right bottle can be daunting at times, so many bottles, aged in oak, aged in steel, sweet, dry, semi-sweet, how do you choose? Do you trust the guy at the wine store? Maybe your next door neighbor? What if his taste in wine is nothing like yours?

Well, I think we've found an answer to that question, at least one to get you through the holidays from now till the first of the year.

New York Wine & Culinary Center is offering a great quick and easy course. I call it a wine for dummies, they call it Wine-Kno. This course will teach you the very basics about wine and is being offered by Julie, Hosbach, a Certified Wine Instructor. You’ll enjoy 8 different wines along with food pairings. So if you want to get ready for the holidays, let your friends think you’ve become a wine connoisseur, you may want to sign up for the class. The class is available for those 21 years of age and over.
