Wine A Little Wednesday – Gnarly Head Wines

This week for 'Wine a Little Wednesday,' we cross the states and head West for a very good red; Gnarly Head from California.

This wine is vinted using "OLD" vines. The vinters were working on a Zinfandel in 2004  and by chance vinted the first Cabernet. You'll notice the wine is very smooth with no after taste, almost lite and not heavy like you would expect from a Cabernet. The first wine using the older vines was a Zinfandel and is still vinted to this day using the old vines to get that Gnarly taste.

I can say Gnarly Head has become my favorite red and it may be yours as well.
