This weeks 'Wine a Little Wednesday' Chardonnay comes to us from sunny, California, considered by many winemakers as the perfect setting for growing Chardonnay grapes.

Blackstone Wineries started in the Golden State of California, with a focus on reds. Actually, their focus was on Merlot. The winery then moved into whites and focused on Chardonnay. Yes, Blackstone still produces a very good Merlot.

Blackstone felt California was growing the best Chardonnay grapes in the industry and their focus was strictly on finding the best of the best for their Chardonnay.

If you think a lot goes into making that bottle of wine you have in your hand, you are 100% correct.  Currently Blackstone sources grapes from over 100 growers in the California regions.

I can't put my finger on it, but Blackstone Chardonnay has a little strong after taste for me. I would suggest if you really like Chardonnay you give this one a try and let me know what you think.
