Are you a Star Trek fan? Are you a William Shatner fan? If you answered yes to one or both of those questions, then keep reading.

Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk on the 1960's television series is coming to the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour in Ticonderoga the weekend of May 4-5, 2018. According to New York Upstate, it will be the first time Shatner has been on the set since the series cancelled in 1969.

The set is the brain child of tour proprietor and self-proclaimed "superfan" James Cawley.

Cawley told the Albany Times Union that he's been working on making Shatner's appearance a reality for about a year. The set was built by Cawley and many other fans of the show.

Shatner won't be the first of the Star Trek cast to have appeared at the museum. During a weekend event in August, 2017 - Walter Koenig who played Chekov on Star Trek: The Original Series also visited the set.

During Shatner's visit, he'll be available for autograph's, photos and a meet and greet which includes a Q&A event.
