We live in a world where we are constantly connected to our phones, emails, tablets, and more. With the constant onslaught of selfies, and videos, will this spoil your holiday family time? Is technology going to kill your Thanksgiving dinner table and Christmas morning?

According to a new survey conducted by financial services provider Foresters, the majority of Americans say Christmas, followed by Thanksgiving, is the day when family members spend precious time together typing away at their phones.

Over half of those surveyed call being preoccupied with texting and social media during the holidays either somewhat, very or extremely "annoying." Sixty-three percent of the adults polled say they think phones shouldn't be allowed at the table during family dinner, and 45 percent vote to ban them from the holidays altogether.

Now, I don't see banning them entirely as the greatest idea....but you need to find that happy medium. Don't have them out at the table, or during any other special moments. Yes, you want to take pictures and videos. BUT, at what cost are you fiddling with your phones to take those precious moments?

Keep that in mind this holiday season.
