A new survey from The Hindustan Times suggests that men have a harder time emotionally after a divorce than women. Men have a much harder time coping with the life change and often let themselves go, gaining weight and caring less about personal grooming.

According to the survey, one year after divorce, 48 percent of men describe themselves as "very lonely," compared to just 35 percent of women. Women tend to have an easier time moving on, primarily because they have a closer network of friends and are better at sharing their emotions.
