Those wedding photos are a very important part of your big day. The only question to ask is, where to take them. Of the dozens and dozens of things to plan for, wedding photos are an important part of the "big day." After all, you don't want blurry cell-phone pics from the reception to be your only source of memories of such an important day.

So, with that in mind, we've compiled a quick list of places in the Mohawk Valley to consider having those all-important wedding photos taken.

In no particular order:

The Stanley Theater in Utica is a great setting, and it has that exact replica of the Grand Staircase from the Titanic.

Utica Train Station, a great photographer can make this setting look magical, and fans of Harry Potter will love it.

Sylvan Beach has it all, including sand and water. Everyone loves beach photos!

The Covered Bridge in Salisbury is a great outdoor setting, and invokes nostalgia.

Hamilton College campus, a beautiful setting especially in the fall, and don't forget Root Glen!

Golf Courses/Country Clubs have well groomed and manicured landscapes perfect for photos, and many local courses feature rolling hills with great views. Think Stonebridge in New Hartford and Holland Heights in Herkimer.

Old Fort Herkimer Church, great architecture with old building foundations. With good natural lighting, photos here are beautiful.

Private Land can offer distinct locations and features, just make sure you have permission!

F.X. Matt Brewery (1888 Tavern), a fantastic spot for craft beer fans, and the 1888 Tavern's architecture is beautiful.

There are plenty more places for wedding photos, but these should get you started off on the right foot. Don't forget Happy Wife = Happy Life!
