Maurice Sendak, the man responsible for the classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are, passed away yesterday from complications from a recent stroke. He was 83.

According to CNN, during his six-decade career, Sendak wrote and illustrated nearly 100 books. Where the Wild Things Are was adapted into a 2009 film by writer/director Spike Jonze.

Of course many parents, politicians, and famous celebrities have read this book to kids all over the world, but I think this is the best reading yet. Enjoy the soothing sounds of Christopher Walken reading your beloved classic. In the video he has to improvise because the book is mostly pictures.
