If you do any gardening, you're probably familiar with some of the odd things you can compost: Potato skins, banana peels, and apple cores to name a few; but did you know you can use all these odd things?!

1. Post it Notes

If you want to add a little color to your garden, try using the fluorescent ones. Maybe your romantic relationship will blossom to the next level if you use one that says this:

Note; I Love You

Avoid using the ones with important messages from your boss; unless it implicitly reads: "Make sure you use this note for compost!"

2. Facial Tissues

I know what your thinking..."no thanks." Don't shoot the messenger, it sounds gross to us too, and we completely understand if it's snot for you.

3. Chopped up Christmas Trees

Will your cucumbers and zucchini taste like Christmas? Probably. Will you regret not giving your tree a proper goodbye,at the tree cemetery behind Big Lots? Nah, it probably would have preferred cremation anyway.

4. Chewing Gum

5. Fingernail Clippings

Keep in mind, once you start using this method, gardening is no longer a HANDS ON job.

We would consider using our nails for compost if we had any left; radio's a stressful job.
