We've got a great way to celebrate the 2017 Erie Canal Bicentennial. Plan to attend Water Music NY in Little Falls

This is a one of a kind orchestra barge journey from Albany to Lockport (Buffalo) . Musicians will travel for 7 days starting in Albany on July 2nd and finishing in Buffalo on July 8th.

During the journey, the musicians will make a stop in Little Falls on Wednesday, July 5th to perform newly commissioned works by gifted composers along with celebratory Americana music for the 4th of July. This will be a great Street Festival and open-air, free waterfront concert with Maestro David Alan Miller.

The centerpiece of the 8 pm evening concert will be the newly commissioned piece written to reflect the local heritage and the importance of the canal on Little Falls.

Little Falls was chosen by the Albany Symphony, focusing on smaller Canal communities with big hearts. Little Falls has a wonderful arts scene of individual artists and semi-professional performing groups.

Plan to join the community of Little Falls for some great family fun and music on the 5th of July. The city is getting ready to host families, neighbors, concert goers, boaters, cyclists, and hikers.

Our thanks to Jane Malin Executive Director of Mohawk Valley Arts for sharing the information on Water Music-Little Falls
