Teddy is part of a hands-on wildlife education program called Zooniversity in Texas. When you hear his sweet voice telling us how much he loves his pumpkin you'll fall in love.

Teddy is a North American porcupine (Erethizon dorsatum), found in all 48 contiguous U.S. states, as well as in Canada and Mexico. He has 18 viral videos with over 20 million total views.

According to the Zoonversity website, people think his porcupine noises are an attempt at talking, and they hear human words in his sounds. All porcupines make guttural noises when they're happy or want to communicate something Zoonversity says Teddy is more vocal than most and agree that his mumblings sound remarkably like human words.
