There was panic throughout the area on Tuesday night, April 12. We thought Lucky took off. Did he think the grass was greener?

Emotions were running high as the community was abuzz with the possibility of Lucky, the Verona bull, running away? Finding a new home? Sold? Gone? Stolen? Does Lucky have a doppelganger?

People were devastated to even consider such a thing. Here're the photos that started the panic as soon as they were posted on Facebook.

These pictures had us convinced. We thought Lucky was out of here. Can't you see the resemblance from behind? It turns out; that was a 'bunch of bull.' Thank goodness. His fan club was devastated. They started reminiscing of all the family photos taken with the 'Verona bull' and all their glorious memories. The photo below was then posted saying 'he's still here.' Finally, it settled down.

We learned an important lesson, Lucky, the Verona bull, is important to the community. We thought we lost a landmark, lot's of folks realized they wanted one more picture, just a few more moments, a little more time with him. But it turns out the old guy still standing guard on the corner in Verona.
