Tempers flared and fists were flying during Sunday's series finale between Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays in Arlington, TX.

Jays outfielder Jose Bautista slide hard through the bag at second trying to break up a double play in the eighth inning. Texas second baseman Rougned Odor took exception and let Bautista know. And, then it was on, with Odor landing what looked like a pretty hefty overhand right to Bautista's face. The benches cleared and additional scuffles broke out. Bautista, Odor, Jays' third baseman Josh Donaldson and Texas bench coach Steve Buechele were all ejected.

Bautista had reached base in the eighth after being hit by a pitch, thought to be retribution for his notorious bat flip in last year's playoffs. After the game, the Blue Jays slugger said it was 'cowardly' that Texas waited until his last at bat of the series - in the final game the two teams are slated to play this season - before retaliating.

And the fun didn't stop there. Just minutes later the benches cleared yet again, reports ESPN:

Umpires needed about 10 minutes to restore order, and Blue Jays reliever Jesse Chavez hit Prince Fielder with the next pitch when the game resumed, which caused both teams to leave their dugouts again, though this time no punches were thrown. Chavez and Blue Jays coach DeMarlo Hale were then ejected after an earlier warning for both teams when Bautista was hit by Bush. Hale was serving as acting manager after John Gibbons was ejected in the third inning for arguing balls and strikes.

The Rangers won the game 7-6 to take 2 of 3 in the series. Toronto, however, won 4 of 7 in the season series
