Will Victor Cruz be ready to rejoin the New York Giants on Sunday in Buffalo?

He thinks so.

The speedy, salsa-stepping wide receiver has been sorely missed since tearing his patella tendon during Week 6 of the 2014 season and missed the team's final ten games. He was expected to play in the season opener this year but a nagging calf injury has kept him sidelined. This week, though, he reported feeling not pain in either of those injury areas.

While it is very encouraging to hear Cruz say in his own words that he's ready and expects to play this weekend, fans should note he still hasn't competed in a full practice (as of Tuesday).

When he does return, not only will it give Eli Manning a reliable, quick target who knows the offense, but also draw some attention from second-year wideout Odell Beckham Jr. And, it'll create better matchups for Rueben Randle and either Giants tight end.
