Utica Woman Wins $1 Million Off Lotto Ticket

For people that say we never have local winners with the lotto here in Utica, you are wrong my friends. A Utica woman just proved you wrong. Not only did she win a jackpot, she won one million dollars!

It was all thanks to a scratch off lottery ticket. I guess I’ll have to start buying some more.

According to the New York State lottery, the stay-at-home mom purchased a Million Dollar Scratch ticket from the Price Chopper on Genesee Street, with money she earned from redeeming her recyclables.”

What were the odds of her winning? For this particular game were 1 in nearly 2.6 million.
