Did you know that Duvel Moortgat USA is in Cooperstown? That's our back yard! They took the number 12 spot for Duvel.

According to the Duvel website:

A Duvel is still seen as the reference among more full-bodied ales. Its bouquet is lively and tickles the nose with an element of citrus which even tends towards grapefruit thanks to the use of only the highest-quality hop varieties. This is also reflected in the flavour, which is beautifully balanced with a hint of spiciness. Thanks to its high CO2 content, this beer has a wonderful roundness in the mouth. A Duvel is both the perfect thirst quencher and the ideal aperitif.

Coming in at number 14 is Matt Brewing Company in Utica N.Y.!!!

According to the Matt Brewing Co. Website:

Legacy IPA
Our founder’s century-old IPA recipe is full flavored, hop forward and blends our breweries past and present. We use lighter malts which allows the hop flavor to shine through. We’re proud to share our legacy of great beers.

Pale Ale
Our Pale Ale is true to English style – rich and fruity with a crisp hop finish. Delicious rich and flavorful, this is a complex brew with an easy-going taste.

Adirondack Lager
Our original award-winning Saranac beer is brewed in the German Lager tradition using Noble hops. We balance the hop bitterness with caramel malt sweetness, creating what we like to call a "round" beer.

Black Forest
Brewed to pay homage to our founder’s homeland, our German-Style Schwarzbier is brewed true to style with a deliciously sweet malty flavor.

The Brewers Association  is a not-for- profit trade group that puts this list together based on beer sales volume. They pride themselves in exposing beer lovers to craft beer.

“The companies on this list include the vanguard of the craft industry,” said Bart Watson, chief economist, Brewers Association..
