The Utica Comets took out the Belleville Senators in regulation Saturday night at the Adirondack Bank Center. This extends Utica's winning streak to a season-high six games and the point streak to 12 games a new team record.

Andrew Chemiwchan waisted no time in getting Utica on the board pushing a loose puck past Senators goalie Danny Taylor just 6:30 into the first period. A power-play after a scramble in front of the net goal leads to another goal and a 2-0 lead for Utica.The Senators cut the lead to 1 with a power-play goal at 10:52 in the first period

Jim O'Brien tied the game seven minutes into the second period. Justin Taylor regained the lead for the Comets with a scramble in front of the net. That goal was O'Brians first AHL goal. McCormick tied the game at three two minutes later. MacEwew regained the Comets lead and moved the score to a 4-3 at the 14:23 mark of the second period.

Comets goalie Demko stopped all five shots he faced in the third period to protect the win.

The Comets return to action and look to increase the point streak to 13 games when they take on the Syracuse Crunch in game 9 of the Galaxy Cup series. The puck drops at 7 pm at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica.
