Although, scenes were shot in New York's Hudson Valley,  the series itself is set at Minnewaska State Park in Ulster County.

Jessica Biel not only played one of the main characters in the series, she also served as Executive Producer. She recently wrapped production of a Rob Reiner film entitled Shock and Awe in which she co-stars with Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones and James Marsden.

"The Sinner" made it's debut at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.
