Upstate Celebrates 120th Annual Festival

The Lilac Festival is 120 years old and celebrates the blooming of the largest collection of lilacs in North America.

The annual festival is in its 120th year and the celebration starts on May 11th and runs until May 20th. There will be performances by nationally recognized musical artists, an arts and crafts show, children's entertainment, wine and craft beer expo and more during this 10-day free festival.

This is the largest festival of its kind with non-stop entertainment a wide variety of foods and one-of-a-kind shopping. Special events inside the festival include the televised Lilac Parade, Garden Battles, Seniors Day, Lilac 10K and 5K and new this year, The Lilac Craft Beverage Expo.

The Craft Beverage Expo is a three-day tasting event and celebration of New York State beer, wine, cider, and spirits.

Art in the Park this year is May 19-20. This is the perfect chance to find something special for yourself or for a friend. Art in the Park features the handmade creations of more than 160 artists, makers, designers, and craftspeople. You'll discover unique pieces from across a variety of media including ceramics, drawings, graphics, fiber, glass, jewelry, sculpture, and wood.
