In Blue Man Group He's Jeff Tortora, But To Us He's Starsky

Have you seen the Blue Man Group in the last fifteen years? If so, chances are you've seen Syracuse native, Jeff Tortura banging those drums with the energy we'd come to expect from his tenure in the United Booty Foundation.

We all know him as 'Brother Starsky' and he co-founded the 70's-80's rock-disco band that saw it's heyday in the mid to late nineties. He'd probably still be in UBF today if a Blue Man scout hadn't seen him at a gig and suggested he audition. The rest is history and I unfortunately missed playing with Jeff personally as he was already banging in blue before I joined on keyboards for Booty's last leg. However, some students sent me to see my first Blue Man show at the Oncenter some years ago with Jeff on percussion and I was finally introduced to the powerhouse that drove the UBF and now keeps Vegas spinning too.
