Twitch Live Streaming Features on Xbox One to Launch with Titanfall
Get ready to be able to stream all of your rodeo and titan-dropping action when the Twitch app on Xbox One gets updated with more features on March 11, Titanfall‘s release date.
According to the Associated Press, the Twitch app on Xbox One will be getting an update that adds live streaming, joining of games with broadcasters, the ability to initiate game broadcasts with voice commands, the option to archive game clops and watch Twitch streams from any device. Yes, that includes the PlayStation 4 as well.
“It’s complete integration. It’s exciting because we’ve never had the ability to broadcast from a console like this with such a deep level of integration,” Emmett Shear, co-founder and CEO of Twitch, said. “The concept of being able to join a broadcasters’ party is really cool, and it’s another step in the direction of interacting more closely with broadcasters.”
The update will coincide with Titanfall’s launch on March 11, which means you’ll probably see a lot of players’ videos featuring giant robots punching the hell out of each other and pilots performing sweet parkour tricks around the environment. Along with the live streaming capabilities, the update will also include Tiwtch’s chat features and the option to broadcast using the Xbox One’s Kinect peripheral.
Look forward to broadcasting your gaming shenanigans when both the update and Titanfall launch on March 11.
