Police officer put their lives on the line every day. Unfortunately, there are times when officers make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for the state of New York. We want to make sure those officers who have Fallen are not Forgotten.

This week we salute Trooper Thomas F.Hudson. Trooper Hudson died at the age of 41 on November 26, 1985 when his Troop car was struck from behind by a tractor trailer on Interstate 87 near Saratoga Springs.

A tractor trailer had become disabled partially  in the driving lane and Trooper Hudson had positioned his Troop car with it's emergancy lights in operation, behind the vehicle. A second tractor trailer struck the troop car from behind, killing both Trooper Hudson and the operator of the disabled vehicle.

Trooper Hudson was a fifteen year veteran of the State Police and had served in troops "B" and "T". He was assigned to SP Saratoga at the time of his dealth..
