Police officer put their lives on the line every day. Unfortunately, there are times when officers make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for the state of New York. We want to make sure those officers who have Fallen are not Forgotten.

This week we salute Trooper Richard A. Pallas, Jr..Trooper Pallas died at the age of 32 on August 31,1967

Sergeant Pallas was returning to his residence after giving testimony in court when his vehicle collided with a flatbed truck at the intersection of Sunset Ave and the Utica arterial in Utica. the driver of the truck was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Trooper Pallas joined the State Police in 1959 and served as station Commander of the Remsen Substation.
