When I was kid growing up in Utica, I remember how neat it was having an NFL football game on Thanksgiving Day. The first team to play a pro game on a day other than Sunday and Thanksgiving Day was the Detroit Lions. I usually root for the Lions on Thanksgiving, as they have the national stage for that day. Let's look at this year's turkey day lineup of games.

I always looked forward to watching that Thanksgiving Day football game with my father. This year, there are three pro matchups according to nfl.com:

"Chicago Bears (5-6) @ Detroit Lions (7-4) - 12:30 p.m. on CBS

Philadelphia Eagles (8-3) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-3) - 4:30 p.m. on Fox

Seattle Seahawks (7-4) @ San Francisco 49ers (7-4) - 8:30 p.m. on NBC"

By the time I finish watching all three games, when I close my eyes to go to bed that night all that I'll see is yardlines!
