Toys R Us is closing about 20% of their stores as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization plan. What's that mean for the New Hartford, and Clay locations?

Court reorganization documents were filed by Toys R Us describing a plan to close up to 182 stores, about 20% of their fleet, to reinvent itself.

Going-out-of-business sales will begin in February and hope to be completed by April. USA Today reports Toys R Us currently is holding going-out-of-business sales at 25 stores in the United Kingdom. The U.K. arm of Toys R Us also is undergoing a restructuring. They also say Toys R Us is hoping the restructuring will ease its crippling debt burden and allow it to reinvent the company for the modern era.
