The mech-on-man madness is only about a week away, but Titanfall's launch trailer has already debuted, as well as news of the game's Season Pass for downloadable content.

You can peep the official gameplay launch trailer above to preview what you'll see once Titanfall finally drops and rocks the first-person-shooter world with its blend of giant robot action and parkouring.

News of Titanfall's DLC and Season Pass was discussed on GameSpot, which featured an interview with Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella.

When asked whether Titanfall would include a Season Pass, Zampella said, "We're going to do paid DLC. We're also going to do free updates. There are things that we want in the game that we didn't get to ship in the final game. So we'll add private matches and things like that for free. There will be some paid DLC. We're going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it's a deal. We're not going to do microtransactions. You just buy it up front, and you get a better price."

So while there won't be a host of micro-transactions, paid DLC will be coming. But at least it sounds like the paid content will be optional and it's good that free DLC will be coming down the chute as well. However you slice it, Titanfall's going to have something for almost all of its audiences.

Titanfall will drop on March 11 for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Update: Respawn has updated the official Titanfall page with more details on the season pass. Three map packs are planned, though no dates are available. The season pass will retail for $24.99 on all three platforms, a $5 discount off the individual prices. The Titanfall Digital Deluxe edition for PC is also being offered now for $79.99, and includes the season pass along with the digital game on Origin.
