We all love the Christmas trees and many people use real trees in their decorating.  Problem is, if you’re a procrastinator like yours truly, waiting too long after the holidays to dispose of your tree can be quite dangerous.  This is why you really need to follow specific guidelines  to ensure you safely remove your Christmas tree.

As soon as the tree shows signs of dryness, it’s time to bid it farewell.  How do you know when that time is?  When the tips of the branches break easily, pretty good chance it’s time to let it go, let it go, let it go. 

When it’s time to take those trees down, and get rid of them, and there is an easy plan to follow.

Check with your local town and village DPWs to find out what days the trees are picked up from the curb.

Also, you need to make sure the trees are clear or ornaments and lights. Leaving these items in place can prove dangerous to those who are hoisting them into the trucks for removal.
