Thrifty Shopper Opening In New Hartford Shopping Center

An exciting new store is opening in the New Hartford Shopping Center Saturday, May 20 at 9 am. But what is a Thrifty Shopper?

Thrifty Shoppers sell clothing and household items that have been donated by the community and is sold at inexpensive prices. Their mission is to "Share Hope, End Hunger & Homelessness, Change Lives, Strengthen Communities One Person at a Time."

There are 13 Rescue Mission Thrifty Shopper stores throughout central New York from Binghamton to Watertown and Ithaca to East Syracuse. Proceeds from the stores provide funds to serve the homeless and hurting in programs in Syracuse, Binghamton, and Auburn. You can donate clothing, linens and gently used toys, household items, sporting goods, electronics and small appliances at their donation centers and Thrifty Shopper stores.

Find out more at their Grand Opening Saturday, May 20, starting at 9 am in the New Hartford Shopping Center. The first 500 visitors will receive Thrifty Shopper swag with giveaways including T-shirts, gift cards, reusable bags, candy bars, water bottles, coupons and more.
