There was a poll done by Budget Travel magazine looking for the coolest small town in America and they found it back in 2009.  You've heard the expression bigger is better well there is a little town just outside of Binghamton that might take exception. That town is Owego New York, named the coolest small town in the country.

Every year the town celebrates the strawberry, you read it right. Every year for the past 38 years the town puts on a big celebration with a 90 minute parade featuring horses, marching bands, antique cars, dance groups, floats and much more. The parade starts at 10 am on main street.

What would a festival be without local wineries and brewerys, this year the Winery & Brewery Vendors have a new location on lake street and will feature The Owego Strawberry Festival Wine and Beer Tent featuring, Americana Vineyards, Pazdar Winery, Thousand Islands Winery, The Farmhouse Brewery and Three Brothers Wineries.

The festival is set to kick-off on Friday, June 15th with the big Friday Night Block party and of course the festival and parade on Saturday the 16th.
