Thief
Square Enix

Get ready to see Garrett get up to his pilfering tricks on the big screen, because a ‘Thief‘ movie is reportedly in development.

According to The Tracking Board, Vertigo and Prime Universe are developing the ‘Thief’ movie, which will follow the adventures of antihero Garrett as he runs around the City, stealing wares and getting caught up in the power struggle between the Pagans, the Hammerites and the Keepers.

Adrian Askarieh, producer on ‘Hitman,’ and Roy Lee, producer on films like ‘Old Boy’ and ‘The Departed,’ are set to produce the film. Prime Universe is responsible for releasing ‘Hitman’ in 2007 and is set to release a reboot called ‘Hitman: Agent 47′ in the near future, which will also be produced by Askarieh.

There aren’t any details announced with regard to the story that’ll be presented in the film, but we’ll keep you updated as more information about this film adaptation is revealed.
