The Worst Christmas Songs Ever- Kevin’s Top 5

It seems like every year Christmas is being thrown at us earlier and earlier. Christmas music usually begins right after Halloween, and by the time it gets here you have had enough! There are a lot of Christmas songs out there, some good, some bad, and some you just can’t stand. These are the five Christmas songs I dis-like the most, either because they were overplayed, or they were just terrible renditions of the songs.

1)  Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer

It was definitely over played, I remember when it first came out how some people took offense to it. It has since become a classic.

2)  The Man With All The Toy’s

Don’t get me wrong, I love The Beach Boys however Christmas songs were not their specialty.

3)  Frosty The Snowman

Jimmy Durante was great, but when I hear the song I don’t want it to sound like someone singing with a sinus infection.

4)  I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas

Gayla Peevy was only ten years old when she recorded this song. She did a great job, its cute but way overplayed.

5)  Winter Wonderland

Eurythmics were a great duo, with Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox. Their version of this song was a little bit too funky for me. Not traditional enough.
