Half of the original Who are working to brighten the lives of kids battling cancer. The Who's Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have launched a program for teens and young adults battling cancer. The duo have pledged to raise money to renovate part of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center pediatric floor into a separate space for cancer patients between the ages of 15 and 25. The program is already being used by several hospitals across the nation:

The goal is to create rooms clustered around a common lounge area where young cancer patients can hang out with one another.

Several hospitals across the country including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia already have dedicated spaces for teen cancer patients. - Yahoo.com

Daltrey was on hand for the kick off Friday. Townshend was unable to be there in person but did send a video taped message.
