The Vegan Zombie is a Central New York-based cooking show on YouTube with a graphic novel cookbook for Vegan Recipes and the story of a zombie outbreak originating in meat and dairy products.

The creator of the popular YouTube cooking show is gearing up to film a movie in CNY with some big-name actors.

Chris Cooney launched a Kickstarter on Sunday for a feature-length film-inspired by his love of the horror genre and the vegan lifestyle. Cooney will star, co-direct, co-write and produce the project, tentatively A44, with co-director Brooklyn Hudson.

The movie is aiming for a late 2019 release, is based on the plot of The Vegan Zombie and it's accompanying graphic novel cookbook, "The Vegan Zombie-Cook & Survive." The plot of the movie centers around a zombie outbreak originating from the meat and dairy supply. Vegans like Harley Landon (Cooney) his loyal dog Indy, but must search for a cure while others are infected and turned into violent and mindless killers. and his love interest Vanessa are unaffected by the virus

The cast will not be officially announced until funding is complete but A44 has some actors already lined up, which include some A-list talent including an iconic actor from ET (name not yet released), legendary star of ELF, a Beloved villain from Goonies and a screen legend from Platoon.
